We want hello, dad. to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or magnification.
1. Our Commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility is treated as ongoing work rather than a finished checkbox.
2. What We've Done
- Semantic headings, landmarks, and lists so assistive technology can navigate pages.
- Keyboard access to navigation, chat input, and buttons, with visible focus styles.
- Text and interface colors chosen for contrast against our dark background.
- Text that scales with browser zoom and font-size settings.
- Alternative text on meaningful images, and decorative art hidden from assistive technology.
3. Known Limitations
- Long chat threads may be verbose to review with a screen reader.
- Our payment processor's hosted checkout is a third-party page we do not control.
- Some subtle animations are decorative; we respect reduced-motion preferences where possible.
4. Report a Barrier
If something blocks you, email support@hellodad.chat with the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you use. We treat accessibility reports as priority issues and will reply with a plan or a fix.
5. Alternative Access
If a part of the Service is unusable for you, contact us and we will help you complete the task another way, including account and billing changes.
